In two extended workshop days, explore the art of fusing ground glass to copper in a hot kiln: enameling! Participants will experiment with stencil, sgraffito and painting techniques, but also be exposed to a full range of possibilities of the medium. These samples can be used to create objects for a small jewelry format, wall/panel application, or sculptural components. Come ready to fire beautiful, durable color on metal. A limited palette of colors will be provided for use and a small class fee will pay for a few metals forms. No metal or enamel experience is necessary to be in this workshop, but no disclaimer that you might get hooked on color!
