When we consider connecting enamel, metal, and other materials, soldering is a fundamental technique. Sometimes, however, we need to look further. For the enamellist who has already mastered basic soldering, sawing, and metalsmithing skills, cold connections are the logical – and exciting—next step.

About the Event

In order to provide students with the  largest possible toolkit, Jan will be leading two workshops on cold  connections. Each covers a different set of techniques and can be taken  individually, although taking the two in succession will provide the  most benefit. As cold connections are meant to supplement but not  replace basic metalworking techniques, these workshops are best utilized  by students who are already comfortable with soldering, sawing, and  other metals skills.
